The Masjid ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Vizionscop3 LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of New York, United States, with its principal place of business in Brooklyn, New York, USA. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have when you use The Masjid mobile application, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
We collect information in three ways: information you provide, information collected automatically, and information from third-party sign-in or payment providers.
Information you provide may include: • Account details such as email address and display name when you create an account • Profile and preference settings such as language, theme, madhab, prayer calculation method, notification preferences, and accessibility settings • Location you choose for prayer times (city, coordinates, or device location with your permission) • Spiritual and learning activity you save in the app, such as prayer logs, Quran reading progress, bookmarks, journal entries, adhkar completions, notes, and learning achievements • Questions, prompts, and conversation context you submit to The Alim AI feature • Support messages and feedback you send to us
Information collected automatically may include: • Device type, operating system, app version, language, and general diagnostic data • Approximate location derived from IP address on web, when applicable • Crash reports, performance data, and error logs • Usage events such as screens viewed and features used, when analytics is enabled with your consent
Payment-related information: • Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple App Store, Google Play, Stripe, RevenueCat, or other authorized payment processors. We receive subscription status, tier, and transaction identifiers — not full payment card numbers.
We use information to: • Provide core features including prayer times, Qibla direction, Quran, hadith, calendar, learning tools, bookmarks, reminders, and sync across devices • Operate The Alim AI feature and return answers with citations where available • Authenticate you, secure accounts, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service • Process subscriptions, restore purchases, and manage entitlements • Send service-related notices, prayer reminders, and product updates when you opt in • Analyze aggregated or consented usage to improve reliability, accessibility, and product quality • Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and protect the rights and safety of users and Vizionscop3 LLC
We do not sell your personal information.
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process personal data on these bases: • Contract: to provide the Service you request, including account sync and paid features • Legitimate interests: to secure the Service, prevent fraud, and improve functionality in a way that respects your rights • Consent: for optional analytics, marketing communications, and precise device location where required • Legal obligation: where we must retain or disclose information under applicable law
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
Service providers acting on our behalf, including: • Clerk — authentication and identity management • Supabase — secure database hosting and user data storage • RevenueCat, Apple, Google, and Stripe — subscription and payment processing • PostHog — product analytics when you have enabled analytics • Sentry — crash and error monitoring • Cloud and AI infrastructure providers that process The Alim requests under our instructions
Content and calculation providers such as prayer-time APIs, Quran text/audio sources, and hadith databases receive only the data needed to fulfill your request (for example, coordinates for prayer times or text submitted to The Alim).
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with appropriate safeguards.
When you use The Alim, your questions and relevant context may be transmitted to our backend and to third-party AI model providers to generate responses. Responses may include citations to Quran, hadith, or other sources for your review.
AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. It is provided for educational and spiritual support only and is not a substitute for a qualified scholar, imam, or mufti. Do not rely on AI responses for legal, medical, financial, or binding religious rulings without independent verification.
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain records after account deletion where required for billing, fraud prevention, security, or legal compliance. Aggregated or de-identified data may be kept longer for analytics and product improvement.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong password and keep your device secure.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: • Access, correct, or delete your personal information • Export a copy of your data • Object to or restrict certain processing • Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based • Opt out of analytics or non-essential data collection in app settings where available
California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sharing. We do not sell personal information.
To exercise your rights, email privacy@vizionscop3.com. We may verify your request before responding. You may also delete your account in the app where that feature is available.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact privacy@vizionscop3.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms for cross-border transfers.
The Service may link to third-party websites or services (for example, support resources or source references). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the app or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
